Rape Prevention

SOS FED's current campaign centers around exploring the ways in which women can take a role in rape prevention in their region. This campaign, supported by The Advocacy Project and The Zivik Programme, employs the use of communal cultivation fields, education and group discussions, and information diffusion to work against the endemic rape occurring in Eastern Congo. We want women to be active in defending themselves and work together to pool ideas on how best to protect themselves in an insecure region. As women become stronger advocates, their findings on how to stay safe will be shared with others, and a movement of rape prevention can take root. Please consult the page below for additional information concerning the 2010 campaign "Creating a Culture of Rape Prevention."
